The Girls Were Locked in the Toilet
Bahraich. A shocking incident has come to light in Bahraich, Uttar Pradesh. During a raid on an illegally operating madrasa in the Payagpur area of the district, 40 minor girls, aged between 7 and 14, were found. The discovery of so many girls in the madrasa surprised officials. The raid was conducted following a tip-off.
Police received information that an illegal madrasa was being operated inside a shop in the area. When the police conducted the raid, they found 40 girls locked in the toilet. Acting on a tip-off about a madrasa located inside the shop, SDM Ashwani Pandey and Naib Tehsildar Shailesh Awasthi conducted the raid with police. The girls locked in the toilet were rescued with police assistance.
When the team led by the Payagraj SDM arrived at the madrasa, the madrasa operator, Khalil Ahmed, attempted to stop them. Later, during the search, when the door of the rooftop toilet was opened, 40 frightened girls were found inside. The toilet door was locked. The operator, Khalil, showed the girls’ admission cards but was unable to provide details of the teaching staff. When the madrasa operators were questioned about this, they said that the raid had created panic and the girls had hidden themselves in the toilet. Currently, the police are investigating the matter. The madrasa has been sealed and the girls have been sent to their homes.
