Darbhanga. Union Home Minister Amit Shah addressed an election rally in Alinagar, Darbhanga on Wednesday. Seeking votes for BJP candidate Maithili Thakur, Amit Shah appealed to the people of Mithila to vote for the folk singer. He said, “From the land of Mithila, I am beginning my address by paying tribute to the late Nightingale of India, Sharda Sinha.” PM Modi honored the people of Mithila by awarding the Bharat Ratna to Jananayak Karpuri Thakur and the Padma Vibhushan to the late Sharda Sinha.
The Home Minister launched a scathing attack on the Rashtriya Janata Dal and Congress, saying, “I want to tell Lalu and Sonia that the CM or PM seat is not vacant. There is PM Modi there, and here is CM Nitish Kumar. There is no vacant seat in the country or Bihar. Tell me, have Lalu and Rabri done anything for Bihar?” Let me tell you that Lalu and Rabri committed numerous scams, including the Land for Jobs scam and the flood relief scam.
The Congress party committed scams worth Rs 12 lakh crore from 2004 to 2014. PM Modi said, “I thank the people of Mithila for giving 9 out of 10 assembly seats to the NDA in the last election. This time, we must not leave even a single seat. We must give all 10 seats to the NDA. You must ensure the victory of Mithila’s daughter. I want to tell former Chief Minister Lalu Yadav’s party that only Mithila’s daughter, Maithili Thakur, will win from Alinagar and will enhance the region’s respect worldwide.”

The Home Minister said that the BJP has always given opportunities to youth in politics. PM Modi said that the BJP will give 100,000 youth tickets for Panch, Sarpanch, MLA, and MP seats.
