New Delhi. The Indian Pickleball Nationals Championship 2025 will be held from November 13th to 16th at The Sports School, Bengaluru. The Karnataka Pickleball Association, under the aegis of the Pickleball Association of India, announced the Sabla Indian Pickleball Nationals. This is the first national event since pickleball received official recognition from the National Sports Federation. Top athletes from across the country will participate. According to the organizers, over 1,200 entries have been received so far from over 20 states, including players aged under 12 to 70+, in men’s, women’s, and mixed formats. Harsha, President of the Karnataka Pickleball Association, said, “The National Championship is a milestone for the sport, and we are extremely fortunate to host it in Bengaluru. Pickleball has become very popular worldwide. The recognition of its scale and popularity by the Government of India has given it a new identity and direction. At KPA, we are working to further build on this momentum through initiatives like coaching clinics, business meetings, and our ‘Mission One Million’ program, which aims to take pickleball to government and aided schools across Karnataka. We are grateful to the Pickleball Association of India for recognizing our work and entrusting us with hosting this prestigious event at a beautiful 16-court venue.” Expressing his support for the sport, Bengaluru FC and Indian National Team professional footballer Ashique Kuruniyan said, “I’m excited for this tournament to come to Bengaluru. This is another chapter in the growth of sports in India. Pickleball is a fun sport and accessible to people with different physical abilities, so I’m confident it will continue to grow.” Srinivas TR, co-founder of Sport School, said, “Over time, a clear career path will emerge in pickleball. As an organization, we believe in supporting any sport that helps build a strong sports culture and gives individuals the opportunity to focus on their careers. We will support and develop any sport that encourages participation and growth, and pickleball has that potential. We are delighted to be a part of its journey and growth.”
Gunaranjan Shetty, President of the Karnataka Wrestling Association, was also present at the announcement.
