Ayodhya. Prime Minister Narendra Modi hoisted the flag on the summit of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Temple in Ayodhya amid chants of Vedic mantras and chants of Jai Shri Ram. Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath were also present on the occasion. The PM formally hoisted the saffron flag on the 191-foot-high summit of the Ram Janmabhoomi Temple in Ayodhya, symbolizing the completion of the temple’s construction. Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that today the city of Ayodhya is witnessing another turning point in India’s cultural consciousness. Today, the entire India, the entire world is filled with Ram. There is unparalleled satisfaction, boundless gratitude, and immense, supernatural joy in the heart of every Ram devotee.

Modi said that centuries-old wounds are healing. Centuries-old pain is finding solace today. Centuries-old resolve is being fulfilled today. Today marks the culmination of a yajna whose fire burned for 500 years. A yajna that never wavered in its faith, never lost its belief. He said that today, the infinite energy of Lord Shri Ram’s sanctum sanctorum, the divine glory of Shri Ram’s family, has been enshrined in this most divine and magnificent temple in the form of this Dharmadhwaja.
The PM said that this Dharmadhwaja is a symbol of resolve. This Dharmadhwaja is a saga of victory born of struggle. This Dharmadhwaja is the embodiment of a dream cherished for centuries. It is the sacred result of the devotion of saints and the collective participation of society. For centuries and millennia to come, this Dharmadhwaja will continue to proclaim the ideals and principles of Lord Ram. This Dharmadhwaja is not just a flag; it is the flag of the renaissance of Indian civilization. Its saffron color, the fame of the Suryavansh, the words inscribed on it, and the inscribed Kovidar tree symbolize the glory of Ramrajya.
The Prime Minister landed at the Maharishi Valmiki International Airport in Ayodhya. He was welcomed there by Governor Anandiben Patel and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. From there, his convoy of vehicles proceeded towards the Rampath in the form of a road show. After the road show, the Prime Minister reached the newly built Saptmandir, which houses the temples of Maharishi Vashistha, Maharishi Vishwamitra, Maharishi Agastya, Maharishi Valmiki, Goddess Ahalya, Nishadraj Guha, and Mata Shabari.
