ICC World Cup Trophy Arrives at Ganga International School

New Delhi. The ICC World Cup Trophy arrived at Ganga International School, Hiran Kudna, Delhi. Elaborate preparations were made for this ICC World Cup Trophy Tour. This welcome brought Ganga International School national pride. This occasion not only brought the school special recognition at the national level but also strengthened the students’ enthusiasm, self-confidence, discipline, and positive attitude towards sports.
The grand welcome of the trophy, accompanied by thunderous slogans of “India-India” and the tricolor, filled the atmosphere with patriotism and sportsmanship.
This occasion was also special because the foundation of the golden cricketing journey of former student and international cricketer Harshit Rana was laid here. His talent continued to flourish under the skillful training, discipline, and guidance of school coach Shravan Kumar. With the support of the school’s sports system and experienced coaches, Harshit Rana shaped his dreams and today he has become an inspiration for countless young players.
Harshit Rana’s classmate, Keshav Tyagi, shared his experiences emotionally, saying that since childhood, every ball he bowled would be met with applause on the field. His tendency to learn from failures and practice relentlessly has been the key to his success. His friend, Aryan, described him as a hardworking, disciplined, and cultured player, saying that his selection in the Indian national cricket team at a young age in 2023 is a testament to his hard work and talent.
It’s also worth noting that Ganga International School has produced many national and international players over the years, including renowned Indian fast bowler Ishant Sharma, as well as Ranji Trophy players Sumit Mathur, Rahul Dagar, Mohit Sharma, and Sachchidanand Pandey. The arrival of the World Cup trophy at a school associated with the contributions of such talented players was a dream come true for everyone. As part of the program, an ICC cricket quiz was organized for the students, in which they participated enthusiastically and demonstrated their knowledge of cricket. Additionally, colorful cultural programs showcased patriotism and sportsmanship through dance and music. Addressing the students, the school’s Principal, Mrs. Swati Joshi, stated that sports are not limited to winning and losing; they foster values like discipline, dedication, self-confidence, and team spirit. The school’s Chairman, Honorable Sushil Gupta, CEO Bharat Gupta, and Director, Colonel Ashok Kaul graced the occasion. They described the school’s selection for the ICC World Cup Trophy Tour as inspiring for the students and an important step towards a bright future.
