Opposition to NDA government’s law is necessary – Gehlot

The Sunday Mail

  1. Jaipur. Former Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot said that in the last 10 years, there have been many such examples in which opposition leaders working on important posts like Chief Minister, Minister in the states were put in jail. The arrested leaders were not even granted bail for several months. After the trial, these leaders were proved innocent. The reason for such arrests was only the political revenge of the BJP government. Gehlot says that now the NDA government is making such a law under which any leader working on such an important post will be arrested and put in jail and dismissed from the post. This is not only an attempt to end the politics of opposition leaders but also a trick to destabilize the government in every state and crush public opinion and form a BJP government. Not only the opposition, but also those leaders of the ruling party who will not work according to the wishes of the top leadership will also be arrested by ED, CBI and dismissed under this law so that their public image can also be spoiled. All parties should oppose the bill promoting such a highly undemocratic and dictatorial mentality.  Gehlot raised questions on RGHS Gehlot says that his Congress government had created the RGHS scheme on the lines of the CGHS scheme of the Government of India. So that government personnel can get medicines and treatment through cashless and simple process. This scheme ran without any problem till December 2023. If any irregularity was found by any hospital or medical store, action would be taken against it as per rules. It is very surprising that despite the change of governments at the Center, the CGHS scheme is continuing, but after the change of power in the state, problems started coming in the RGHS scheme, due to which lakhs of government personnel, pensioners and their families are facing inconvenience. A few days ago, when private hospitals and medical stores informed about stopping treatment and medicines in the RGHS scheme due to non-payment, the government promised to pay them. But due to non-payment, treatment is being stopped again. The state government should seriously show intention and policy to keep this scheme going. It is not appropriate to have such problems even after deducting RGHS money from the salary every month।
