Governments are responsible for the mountain disaster.
Dhami government’s problems will increase.

New Delhi. The disaster in Dehradun has shown that if the tampering with the mountains continues, even greater destruction will occur. There is no doubt that governments have turned the mountains into a business, the consequences of which the common people are suffering today.
State governments are primarily responsible. The governments are neither afraid of the law nor the courts. The mountains are in crisis due to the complete disregard of the established rules and regulations. The Supreme Court has already warned the governments by making strong comments on the destruction of the mountains. If the mountains survive, the rivers will survive. If the rivers survive, the country will survive, the existence of the mountain dwellers will survive. The governments are aware of everything. But with their eyes closed, the mountains are being destroyed in the name of development and tourism. The disaster that has struck the mountains in the last few days. One of the reasons for it is climate change, but most of the other reasons are man-made. Trees were cut in the mountains. Hotels were built on the banks of the rivers. Whereas as per rules, no construction should be done within 100 meters of the river banks. No one is concerned about this. Most importantly, the mining mafia and hotel mafia have completely taken control of Uttarakhand. Land and mining scams are at their peak everywhere. The current Pushkar Singh Dhami government has become infamous for its involvement in mining and land deals. Recently, the Mussoorie land scam has even created a stir in Delhi. The case of land leased to Baba Ramdev’s partner Balkrishna through fraud has become quite serious. The scam is said to be worth several thousand crores. There is a flood of illegal construction in the name of development around Mussoorie. The rampant illegal hotel construction has caused significant damage to Mussoorie. The disaster has exposed the reality.
Uttarakhand Congress President Karan Maher says that this is just the first case reported in Mussoorie, and many more such cases are likely to emerge. The Congress is agitating against these corruption cases.
Actually, Dehradun witnessed the devastation of cloudburst for the first time. There are reports of huge loss of life and property due to this disaster. Rishikesh, Mussoorie all have been affected. Be it the case of Dharali in Uttarkashi or Tharali in Chamoli, most of the damage has been caused by the rivers. Now the question is who is responsible for the damage. Universities have been established on the banks of rivers within Dehradun itself. Hotels have been opened. Same thing happened in Dharali also. Indiscriminate illegal constructions were done on both sides of the local river in the name of tourism. The entire game of illegal construction is linked to mining. The mining mafia has destroyed dozens of rivers from the mountains to the Terai region. Current Chief Minister Dhami knows everything about mining scams. His own MLAs and MPs have consistently accused him of promoting mining. Dhami was a young Chief Minister. Prime Minister Modi trusted him and gave him a chance. If he had wanted, he could have solved the real problems of the mountains, stopped migration from the mountains, and increased employment. But he failed to do so. On the contrary, corruption cases in the mountains increased during Dhami’s rule. The opposition, taking advantage of these weaknesses, has remained aggressive. Congress is also aggressive regarding disaster management. The BJP’s difficulties are sure to increase in this election year.
