Dehradun. After Rahul Gandhi, Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha, his sister and Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi also came out in support of the youth protesters on Wednesday. Priyanka Gandhi said in her post that we are studying for 15 hours in the library, while they are selling papers for 15 lakh rupees. This is not just the pain of one youth, but of most of the youth in Uttarakhand and the country. Today, unemployment is the biggest problem in the country, as paper leaks are rampant wherever the BJP is in power,
including in Uttarakhand, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, and Madhya Pradesh. The corruption prevalent in examinations is ruining the lives of the youth and the Prime Minister is remaining a mute spectator. Meanwhile, the Congress has said in its post that the slogan ‘Paper Chor-Gaddi Chhod’ is echoing in the entire Uttarakhand today. The people of Uttarakhand are angry because the BJP government is distributing jobs to its favourites by taking Rs 15 lakh each and is getting the papers leaked. The youth of Uttarakhand are demanding the dismissal of the BJP government. Meanwhile, the government had formed an SIT under the chairmanship of a retired High Court judge to investigate the paper leak. But the agitators are still adamant on the demand for a CBI inquiry. In fact, due to the government’s stubborn attitude, the movement appears to be gradually becoming statewide. A movement is emerging among the youth around Dehradun. Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s slogan, “Vote Chor Gaddi Chhod,” has now changed to “Paper Chor Gaddi Chhod.” Chief Minister Dhami is the target. The entire movement is being driven by unemployed youth. Rahul Gandhi recently discussed Gen Z in his post. It’s impossible to predict when the young generation will turn hostile. There’s already widespread resentment against the government in Uttarakhand, and if the youth become agitated, it will increase the BJP’s difficulties in the Hindi belt. If the BJP high command doesn’t take the Uttarakhand paper leak scandal seriously, this youth movement could escalate at any time. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has become a direct target of the youth, as the government attempted to create a rift in the movement. The agitators are demanding a CBI inquiry into the paper leak case, cancellation of the Joint Graduate Competitive Examination, and the resignation of the Minister and the Chairman of the Commission. On Wednesday, the students even tried to enter the office of the Selection Commission. Till now, this youth movement was getting the support of local organizations, now with the Congress fully coming into the field, the movement will get more strength.
