PM gives the mantra of adopting Swadeshi
Takes aim at Congress
– Lays foundation stone for development projects in Banswara

The Sunday Mail
New Delhi. Addressing a public rally in Banswara, Rajasthan, on Thursday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi gave the mantra of Swadeshi and reiterated the goal of a self-reliant India. He sharply targeted the Congress government. He also highlighted the benefits of GST and highlighted the reforms undertaken in the power sector. On this occasion, the PM flagged off two new Vande Bharat trains and inaugurated projects worth lakhs of crores.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that today, a new chapter of India’s power sector capabilities is being written from the soil of Rajasthan. Projects worth more than 90 thousand crore rupees have been started in Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, and Maharashtra. This shows that today the country is moving forward at the speed of electricity, and every part of the country is included in this pace. Every state is being given priority. In 2014, our government resolved to change this situation and we have provided electricity to every village in the country. We provided free electricity connections to 25 million homes, and wherever the cables reached, electricity also reached. This made people’s lives easier and led to the establishment of new industries.

Laying the foundation stone and inaugurating development projects in Banswara, Rajasthan, the Prime Minister said that the Congress government ignored the importance of electricity. “When you gave me the opportunity to serve you in 2014 and I assumed office, there were 25 million homes in India without electricity. Even after 70 years of independence, 18,000 villages in the country lacked electricity poles. Power cuts lasted for hours in major cities, and in villages, even a 4-5-hour power outage was considered a significant achievement. Any country that wants to develop rapidly in the 21st century must increase its electricity production. The most successful countries in this regard will be those that lead in clean energy.”

Attacking the Congress

PM Modi said that under the Congress government, Rajasthan had become a hotbed of paper leaks, that the Jal Jeevan Mission was also sacrificed to corruption, that atrocities against women were rampant, and that rapists were protected. Under the Congress government, crime and the illegal liquor trade flourished in places like Banswara, Dungarpur, and Pratapgarh. When you gave the BJP a chance, we strengthened law and order and accelerated development projects. Today, the BJP government is leading Rajasthan on the path of rapid development. In 2017, we freed the country from the yoke of taxes and tolls by implementing GST.

Addressing a public gathering in Banswara, PM Modi paid tribute to Maa Tripura Sundari, Beneshwar Dham, and Mangarh Dham. He paid homage to Govind Guru, Maharana Pratap, and Bansiya Bhil, saying that this is a land of devotion and bravery. He said that Rajasthan is today writing a new saga of India’s strength in the power sector.

2 Vande Bharat trains flagged off
The Prime Minister flagged off two new Vande Bharat trains, running from Jodhpur and Bikaner to Delhi Cantt. He also virtually flagged off the Udaipur-to-Chandigarh train. He distributed appointment letters to 15,000 youth. This initiative is being described as providing employment opportunities to youth, empowering them, and promoting their participation in the state’s development.
