Modi Targets Congress and RJD
“They Will Tear Each Other’s Hair After the Elections”

Araria (Bihar). Amid the first phase of elections in Bihar, Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched a scathing attack on the RJD and Congress. Addressing an election rally in Araria, the PM said that there is a rift between the RJD and Congress. After the elections, the rift between the two parties will escalate to such an extent that they will be tearing each other’s hair out.

The Prime Minister accused the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) and Congress of protecting infiltrators and misleading the public with lies for political gain. He said that opposition parties are more focused on protecting infiltrators than protecting the national interests.

Prime Minister Modi said that these RJD and Congress members are busy protecting infiltrators. They spread various lies to protect them and undertake political tours to mislead the people. This jibe from the Prime Minister comes amid the India Block protests against the Special Intensive Review (SIR).

The Prime Minister said that those who ran the “Jungle Raj” called themselves “your parents,” considering themselves emperors. “But this is Modi. My parents are you, the public, the devotees. You are my master, you are my remote control.” The Prime Minister’s remarks came as voters cast their votes in 121 constituencies in the first phase of the Bihar Assembly elections. His address aimed to reinforce the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance’s promises of development and law and order, and to contrast the opposition’s alleged record of misgovernance.

Prime Minister Modi accused the Rashtriya Janata Dal-led governments of the 1990s of pushing Bihar into anarchy and corruption. He said, “A vote from your grandparents once made Bihar a land of social justice. But then came the 1990s, and the RJD’s “Jungle Raj” invaded Bihar. It meant pistols, cruelty, corruption, and misgovernance. This became Bihar’s misfortune. Your parents’ dreams were shattered.” He compared it with the efforts of the BJP and Janata Dal (United) government to bring back good governance, law and order and development in the state.
