Nitish Kumar sworn in as Bihar Chief Minister for the 10th time
– 26 MLAs also sworn in as ministers

New Delhi. Janata Dal (United) chief Nitish Kumar was sworn in as Bihar’s Chief Minister for a record 10th time at the historic Gandhi Maidan in Patna on Thursday. Twenty-six ministers also took oath alongside him. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, BJP President J.P. Nadda, and several other top NDA leaders attended the swearing-in ceremony. Chief Ministers of several BJP-ruled states also attended the swearing-in ceremony.

On Wednesday, Nitish Kumar resigned as Bihar Chief Minister and then staked claim to Governor Arif Mohammad Khan to form a new government. Twenty-six MLAs were sworn in as ministers at the swearing-in ceremony held today (Thursday). In this, MLAs from the BJP and JDU, as well as the LJP, HAM, and RLDM, were also included in the cabinet. In Bihar, the NDA returned to power by winning 202 seats in the 243-member assembly, with the BJP winning 89, the JDU 85, the LJP 19, the HAM 5, and the RLM 4.

The three-day session of the newly formed assembly will begin on November 26, during which the Speaker and Deputy Speaker will be elected and new members will be sworn in.
Ministers appointed
On the orders of the Governor, Samrat Chaudhary, Vijay Sinha, Vijay Chaudhary, Vijendra Prasad Yadav, Shravan Kumar, Mangal Pandey, Dr. Dilip Jaiswal, Ashok Chaudhary, Leshi Singh, Madan Sahni, Nitin Naveen, Ramkripal Yadav, Santosh Suman, Sunil Kumar, Jama Khan, Sanjay Singh Tiger, Arun Shankar Prasad, Surendra Mehta, Narayan Prasad, Rama Nishad, Lakhendra Kumar Roshan, Shreyasi Singh, Pramod Kumar, Sanjay Kumar Singh, and Deepak Prakash were appointed ministers.
