Lok Sabha Speaker addresses representatives of the Singhi community

New Delhi। Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla addressed the VSHFA’s “Strong Society – Strong India” program held at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi, where he praised the unity and spirit of service of the Sindhi community.
Om Birla said that after overcoming the difficult times following Partition, the Sindhi community has strengthened the country’s economy through courage, perseverance, and entrepreneurship. Even after the tragedy of Partition, the Sindhi community did not abandon its religion, culture, values, and perseverance.
He emphasised that the Sindhi community’s contribution, from small businesses to industry, banking, and the service sector, provides employment to millions of people and strengthens the foundation of a “strong India.”
In his speech, Om Birla said that unity in diversity is India’s greatest strength and that the “developed India” of 2047 will only be possible through the collective efforts of 1.4 billion Indians.
He said that the Sindhi community’s emphasis on education, innovation, and self-reliance is giving a new direction to the youth and their contribution to the country’s development is continuously increasing.
Om Birla said that the Sindhi community’s contribution to charity, social service, dharamshalas, education, and health further expands India’s social strength.At the end of the program, Om Birla thanked VSHFA for connecting the society, preserving cultural heritage, and contributing to mainstream nation-building
