Bhairgaon Memorial Cricket Club Wins Devbhoomi Mahakauthik Cricket Title

New Delhi. Bhairgaon Memorial Cricket Club has won the title of the sixth Devbhoomi Sports Mahakauthik Cricket Tournament. In a thrilling final played at the Jamia Millia Nawab Pataudi Stadium ground, Bhairgaon Memorial Cricket Club defeated Pahad Boys Veteran Club by 57 runs to clinch the title. Bhairgaon Memorial Cricket Club’s team displayed a strong performance with both bat and ball in this easy victory. 64 teams participated in this sixth Devbhoomi Sports Mahakauthik Cricket Tournament, showcasing their competitive spirit.
Bhairgaon Memorial Cricket Club posted a massive score of 199 runs for four wickets in 20 overs.Chasing 200 runs for victory, Pahad Boys Veteran Club was bowled out for 142 runs in 19.4 overs. Subhash Bhandari played a brilliant innings of 86 runs and also took two wickets. He was awarded the Man of the Match award.
The winning team, Bhairgaon Memorial Cricket Club, was honored with a prize money of Rs. 1,21,000 by Mukesh Khantwal of Lore Herbal Basket Private Limited. The runner-up team received a prize money of Rs. 75,000 from Pawan Kumar Maithani, General Secretary of Garhwal Hitaishini Sabha. The trophies for the winning and runner-up teams were presented by Mahavir Singh Rana, President of Mata Parvati Devi Charitable Trust. The players and guests appreciated the tireless efforts of the organizing committee heads Arjun Singh Kandari and Anil Rauthan. Prominent social worker Narendra Ladwal inaugurated the final match by lighting the lamp and hoisting the flag. Deepak Baniyal, founder of Banjosh Enterprises, ACP Lalit Mohan Negi, Arjun Singh Kandari, Mahavir Rana, and other dignitaries were present as special guests. A colorful program showcasing the folk culture and folk music of Uttarakhand was a major attraction during the final. On this occasion, Anil Rauthan stated that 960 players from 64 teams participated in the tournament, which is a unique record in itself.
