Roundglass Punjab Hockey Club Academy won the title at the 3rd Hockey India Junior Men’s Academy Championship 2025 – Zone A and B, showcasing a brilliant performance at the Veer Narmad South Gujarat University Hockey Ground in Surat, Gujarat. In the final match played at the same venue, Roundglass Punjab Hockey Club
Academy defeated SGPC Hockey Academy by a margin of 4-0 to clinch the championship. Namdhari XI secured the third position. In the match for the third place, Namdhari XI defeated Ghumanhera Risers Academy by a margin of 7-0.
In the final match, Roundglass Punjab Hockey Club Academy’s emphatic 4-0 victory over SGPC Hockey Academy was sealed by goals from Sukhpreet Singh (27′), Jarman Singh (35′), Sukhmanpreet Singh (51′), and Amandeep (56′). The defeated team failed to score any goals. The third-place match was a one-sided affair, with Namdhari XI dominating Ghumanhera Risers Academy with a resounding 7-0 victory. Bihara Singh (23′, 52′) and Gurdyal Singh (30′, 58′) scored two goals each, while Vikram (26′), Nikhil (41′), and Sahajpreet Singh (53′) contributed one goal each to secure the win. (Sports Editor)
