The Sunday mail
Assam: Honorable Union Minister of Home and Cooperation Shri Amit Shah today addressed massive rallies in Dhekiajuli and Nalbari in Assam.
Shri Shah said that this election is to build a developed Assam and an industrialised Assam.

On one hand there is the BJP which made Assam free from insurgency. This is the same Assam in which gun battles, bomb blasts rocked the state during Congress rule and many youths were killed. In the same Assam we signed a number of peace accords and brought back 10,000 youths to the mainstream. Not a single case of gun battles and bomb blast have occurred during the BJP government.
If BJP could sign peace accord with Bodo brothers and Adivasi brothers, then why could not the Congress? It was because the Congress party’s policy was to create conflicts and rule. They killed hundreds of youths. The youth of Assam have not forgotten the Assam movement. They did not even build a memorial for the martyrs of the Assam Movement despite ruling for so long. That too was done by Himanta Biswa Sarma.
We are going to make Assam infiltrator-free. In the last 10 years we made stopped infiltration. Now our job will be to deport the infiltrators who entered Assam earlier.
These infiltrators are taking away jobs and the food of the poor. They have no right over this land. In the next five years we will deport infiltrators one by one.
The BJP government in Assam has freed 1.25 lakh acres of land from the infiltrators. They also encroached the birthplace of Srimanta Shankardev. But we evicted them and build a grand satra there.
I also want to remind the black day of our history when our youths were killed by infiltrators in Laletapu. Seven youths including Bhupen Deka and Prasanna Barua lost their lives at the hands of infiltrators. What was their fault? They just wanted Assam to be free from infiltrators. But I want to tell that now no infiltrator has the courage to kill the youths of Assam.
Soon after their deaths the Congress passed the IMDT Act to protect the infiltrators and promote infiltration.
Now SIR is being conducted across the nation. Rahul Gandhi and company are opposing it. If someday Gaurav Gogoi comes here, then ask him the reason. Gaurav Gogoi who is seeking the votes of the people of Assam is trying to protect infiltrators. He is to come clean on whether he is with the infiltrators or against them. The Congress has to answer this question.
Congress changed Assam’s demography for vote-bank politics, filling several districts with infiltrators and turning them into Muslim-majority areas.
The Congress has always been anti-Assam. In 1962 Jawaharlal Nehru bid farewell to Assam. This land does not belong to Jawaharlal Nehru, but this is an indispensable part of Mother India. Now there is a Modi government, and no one can encroach even one inch of India’s land.
Gopinath Bordoloi was not given Bharat Ratna by the Congress because he opposed Nehru and decided in favor of Assam remaining a part of India. But when Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s government came, we honored him with the Bharat Ratna.
Entire nation is proud of Bhupenda. We listen to his songs even in Gujarat. Bhupen Hazarika Ji was also not honored with the Bharat Ratna by the Congress. Only the Modi government honored him with the Bharat Ratna.
Congress never considered the security of the nation an issue. During their regime terrorists launched attacks on India every other day. But when our government came we replied to them with surgical strike, air strike and Operation Sindoor.
He said that the present government has prioritized both security and development, creating new opportunities for the youth. The construction of several major bridges over the Brahmaputra River, expansion of national highways, and efforts to connect villages with roads have strengthened Assam’s economic development. He added that large-scale industrial investments, along with the establishment of the semiconductor industry, are generating new employment opportunities.
