LOK SABHA SPEAKER MEETS DELEGATION FOR RELATIONS WITH INDIA (D-IN) IN THE EUROPEAN PARLIAMENT

New Delhi,।: Lok Sabha Speaker Shri Om Birla today met with a European Parliament’s Delegation for Relations with India (D-IN) led by Ms. Angelika Niebler, MEP, at the Parliament House.
Shri Birla expressed satisfaction that the first meeting of the Parliamentary Friendship Group for the European Union with the European Parliamentary Delegation had been successfully held.
During the meeting, discussions were held on further strengthening the India-European Union strategic partnership and the importance of shared values. Both sides agreed that parliamentary exchanges constitute an important pillar of cooperation, aiding mutual learning and the strengthening of democratic institutions.
On this occasion, a shared commitment was expressed to deepen parliamentary exchanges further and to strengthen relations among the people.
