Advertisement policy also under question, Congress raises questions
Dehradun. Pushkar Singh Dhami’s government surrounded by corruption allegations has also come under question in the matter of advertisement policy. Congress is going to make it a big issue, but the large number of RTIs filed in the advertisement case and the news being published on local web portals are surprising. Advertisements worth crores were given to such newspapers which have not been published even for a year or two, they are published in limited numbers and some are weekly. Even the Chief Minister cannot give advertisements worth such a huge amount under privilege. Uttarakhand Congress President Karan Maher says that it is a matter of great sadness that when the state is battling a disaster and the government does not have money for disaster management, at such a time it is beyond comprehension to distribute crores of rupees in publicity. The way the government has given advertisements, it seems that some mess has happened somewhere. Maher says that Congress does not oppose advertisements, but giving advertisements worth crores to those newspapers which are not even visible. Marketing your face is a good thing but the time and circumstances should also be considered. According to the information available, advertisements have been given to such newspapers which did not deserve it. Congress is also collecting the complete report. We will definitely ask questions to the Chief Minister after taking information from those who filed RTI.

In the condition that the government has reached, no one can do anything, the public itself will come out on the streets and remove it from power.
