New Delhi. India’s dominance continues in the Asia Cup 2025. India once again defeated Pakistan in the Super-4 match on Sunday, taking another step towards the title. India defeated Pakistan on every front. India’s young opening pair of Abhishek Sharma and Shubman Gill thoroughly thrashed the Pakistani bowlers, ensuring victory.
In the match played at the Dubai International Stadium, Pakistan batted first and scored 171 runs in 20 overs. In response, India won with 15 balls to spare, thanks to centuries from Abhishek Sharma and Shubman Gill. India scored 173 runs for the loss of 4 wickets in 16 overs.
Chasing Pakistan’s target of 172 runs, India shared a 105-run opening partnership with Abhishek Sharma (74) and Gill (47). Tilak Verma also played a brilliant innings of 30 not out off 19 balls, studded with two sixes and two fours.
For Pakistan, Haris Rauf took two wickets for 26 runs, and Faheem Ashraf took one wicket for 31 runs. As in the first league match, the Indian players did not give up on the Pakistani players. For Pakistan, Sahibzada Farhan scored 58 runs off 45 balls, studded with five fours and three sixes, while Saim Ayub scored 21 runs. The two added 72 runs for the second wicket. Mohammad Nawaz (21) and Faheem Ashraf (20 not out) played useful innings. For India, Shivam Dubey took two wickets for 33 runs, while Hardik Pandya took one wicket for 29 runs, and Kuldeep Yadav took one wicket for 31 runs. Jasprit Bumrah proved expensive and gave away 45 runs in four overs.
