India remained undefeated in this Asia Cup, winning seven consecutive matches to claim the title. Team India won the Asia Cup for the ninth time. Team India has previously won the ODI Asia Cup seven times. Team India also won the T20 Asia Cup once, in 2016. This is India’s second Asia Cup trophy in the T20 format. This adds another victory to the team’s record for most wins, further strengthening its historic victory. India has become the first country to win the T20 and ODI Asia Cups at least twice. Team India won the T20 Asia Cup 2025 final in Dubai on Sunday by 5 wickets. The title win was largely driven by the brilliant batting of Tilak Verma and Shivam Dubey and the impressive bowling of Kuldeep Yadav. Batting first, Pakistan had a good start. Their first wicket fell at 84 runs in the 10th over, but the entire team was all out for 146 runs. The Indian team’s fielding was commendable. Chasing the target of 147 runs, India got off to a poor start, raising concerns among the country’s cricket fans. India had lost three wickets for just 20 runs. Tilak Verma then made a comeback, adding 57 runs for the fourth wicket with Sanju Samson. After Samson’s dismissal, Tilak Verma and Shivam Dubey shared a superb 60-run partnership for the fifth wicket. Tilak Varma, playing alongside Rinku Singh, secured India’s historic 5-wicket victory. Tilak Varma played an unbeaten inning of 69 runs in 53 balls. He was also awarded Player of the Match.
After winning this Asia Cup, Team India was showered with money. As it should be, because this victory is a huge victory for the Board of Control for Cricket in India and the entire nation. The BCCI will award a prize money of 21 crore rupees to the Indian cricket team and support staff for this victory. There is an atmosphere of celebration in the country.
