Bengaluru Torpedoes defeated Mumbai Meteors to win the title

New Delhi. The Bengaluru Torpedoes won the RR Cable Prime Volleyball League, powered by Scapia, Season 4 at the Gachibowli Indoor Stadium in Hyderabad. In the final, the Bengaluru Torpedoes defeated the Mumbai Meteors 3-0 to claim the title. The game started off with a flurry of ups and downs, but the Bengaluru Torpedoes, relying on their teamwork and aggressive play, secured the Season 4 Champions Trophy. Early in the game, Peter Aalstad Austvik made a brilliant block on Joel Benjamin, but the Bengaluru Torpedoes quickly recovered with a block from Jishnu to stop Shubham Chaudhary. Captain and setter Matt West’s precise distribution put the Bengaluru Torpedoes back in the game. Meanwhile, Sethu’s service pressure gave Bengaluru Torpedoes the lead, forcing Mumbai Meteors to take an early super point. The Meteors attempted a comeback, but West’s strategic setup helped Bengaluru win the first set. The second set was completely in Bengaluru Torpedoes’ favor. Sethu opened the set with the first super serve of the night, and a series of errors by Mumbai Meteors further strengthened the Torpedoes’ lead. Om Lad Vasant created opportunities for his attackers, but Shubham and captain Amit Gulia hit their shots wide of the net. Meanwhile, Joel’s relentless attack broke down Mumbai’s defense, and his super serve gave Mumbai Torpedoes the second set. In the third set, Jaylen Penrose also added to the attack, consistently delivering powerful smashes to maintain the team’s dominance. Mumbai Meteors, led by Shubham, attempted a comeback, but coach David Lee’s risky super point call paid off, with Penrose’s shot hitting perfectly. Mumbai won a Super Point of their own, but a service error by Nikhil in the end sealed Bengaluru’s victory. (Sports Editor)
