Patna. The Grand Alliance (India Alliance) released its joint manifesto for the 2025 Bihar Assembly elections on Tuesday. The manifesto has been named “Tejashwi’s Pledge.” The key leaders of the alliance’s constituent parties, led by their Chief Ministerial face, Tejashwi Yadav, released it at a major hotel in Patna on Tuesday evening. Tejashwi Yadav stated that everything stated in the Grand Alliance’s manifesto will be implemented. “We have to work to build Bihar. We have placed a resolution before you. Our pledge is to make Bihar number one.”


In the manifesto, the Grand Alliance stated that under the Jan Swasthya Suraksha Yojana, every individual will be provided free health insurance up to ₹25 lakh, and every family will receive 200 units of free electricity. Within 20 days of forming the government, an act will be passed to provide government jobs to one member of every family in the state. During the release of the manifesto, Mukesh Sahni, the Deputy Chief Minister of the Grand Alliance, said, “Today we have launched a resolution letter for a new Bihar. For the next 30-35 years, we will work to serve the people of Bihar. We will fulfill all their aspirations. We will fulfill all the promises made to the people. The people of the state stand in support of the Grand Alliance, and we are forming the government in Bihar; the NDA has no ‘resolution.'”

Grand Alliance Manifesto
– Within 20 days of forming the government, an act will be passed to provide government jobs to one member of every family in the state.
– The Old Pension Scheme (OPS) will be implemented.
– Under the Mai-Behan Maan Yojana, women will receive financial assistance of ₹2,500 per month from December 1st and ₹30,000 per year for the next five years.
– Every family will receive 200 units of free electricity.
– The constitutional rights of all minority communities will be protected.
– The Waqf Amendment Bill will be postponed, and the management of Waqf properties will be made more transparent and beneficial.
– The management of Buddhist temples in Bodh Gaya will be handed over to members of the Buddhist community.
– Farmers will be guaranteed the purchase of all crops at the minimum support price, and market committees will be revived.
– Markets will be opened at the divisional, subdivisional, and block levels. The APMC Act will be re-enacted.
– Under the Jan Swasthya Suraksha Yojana, free health insurance up to ₹25 lakh will be provided to every individual.
– A law passed by the legislature to increase the reservation limit to 50 percent in proportion to the population will be sent to the central government for inclusion in the Ninth Schedule of the Constitution.
– The current 20 percent reservation for the Most Backward Classes in Panchayat and Municipal bodies will be increased to 30 percent.
– This limit for Scheduled Castes (SCs) will be increased from 16 percent to 20 percent, and a proportionate increase in reservation for Scheduled Tribes (STs) will also be ensured.
– Our government will adopt a zero-tolerance policy towards crime. A fixed tenure will be established for Superintendents of Police and Station House Officers.
– The daily wage of Rs. 255 under MNREGA will be increased to Rs. 300, and the 100-day work period will be increased to 200 days.

– The Most Backward Classes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act will be passed. 200 female students from Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes will be sent abroad for scholarships.

– A regulatory law will be introduced to prevent harassment during installment collection by microfinance companies and to control arbitrary interest rates.

– Form and examination fees for competitive examinations will be waived, and free travel to and from examination centers will be provided.
– A women’s college will be established in every subdivision. Degree colleges will be opened in 136 blocks where there are no degree colleges.
-A coherent policy will be formulated regarding the transfer and posting of teachers, health workers and other service personnel within a radius of 70 kilometers of their home district.
