Over the past 24 hours, light fog has been observed in Delhi and surrounding areas in the morning. Additionally, Delhi’s air has become polluted. The average air quality (AQI) across the region was measured at around 279.

In some areas, this level reached the severe category. Delhi’s air quality has reached extremely poor levels. According to CPCB data, on Wednesday, the AQI was recorded at 307 in Akshardham, ITO, and Anand Vihar, 282 near India Gate, and 226 on Lodhi Road. The administration has begun spraying water on the roads to reduce pollution.

A layer of haze has covered the skies of Delhi-NCR since this morning. People faced difficulties due to reduced visibility. According to the Meteorological Department, the sky will remain cloudy throughout the day and light rain may occur in some areas. According to Skymet Weather, the effects of Cyclone ‘Montha’, which has already hit the coast of Andhra Pradesh, and the active Western Disturbance in the mountains are reaching northern India. Due to this, cold winds along with clouds will blow in Delhi-NCR.
