At least 22 people lost their lives while more than 40 were injured in three separate deadly attacks in Pakistan. Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa provinces were targeted in these attacks.

A suicide blast took place in the parking lot of the stadium during a rally of the Balochistan National Party (BNP) in Quetta, the capital of Balochistan, killing 11 people and injuring more than 40. Many BNP members were present there at the time of the attack. Security agencies are investigating the matter.

Five people were killed and four injured in another attack near the Iran border in Balochistan itself. According to officials, a homemade bomb placed on the roadside exploded when a convoy was passing through the border district. No organization has yet claimed responsibility for this attack.

Six soldiers were killed in a suicide attack on a camp of the paramilitary force FC in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province. The attacker rammed a vehicle loaded with explosives into the gate of the camp, after which five suicide bombers entered the camp and started firing. The encounter lasted for about 12 hours, in which all six attackers were also killed. An organization called ‘Ittehad-ul-Muljahideen Pakistan’ has claimed responsibility for this attack.

According to media reports, more than 430 people have been killed in attacks on security forces and civilians in Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa since January 1, 2025. Last year in 2024, incidents of violence in these areas were even more serious, in which about 782 people lost their lives. The Pakistan Army has been battling militancy in these areas for the past decade, but the recent attacks further highlight the seriousness of the situation.
