New Delhi. The BJP and Congress have once again come face to face over the issue of vote theft. The BJP accused the Congress of endangering democracy and said that Rahul Gandhi is lying about the Aaland seat. BJP spokesperson Anurag Thakur said that Rahul is always engaged in weakening democracy by attacking constitutional institutions. Rahul is trying to help infiltrators, but the government will not let him succeed.

Currently, he is highlighting the vote-stealing scandal in Karnataka’s Aland constituency. From the podium at the party headquarters, Rahul questioned the Election Commission, once again raising the issue of vote-stealing. Linking the vote-stealing scandal to backward caste politics, he said that OBCs and backward castes are being targeted. On the question of going to court, Rahul said that he is fulfilling his responsibility as the Leader of the Opposition and protecting the Constitution. However, the BJP and the Election Commission have dismissed Rahul’s allegations as baseless and false. The Election Commission stated that the case was filed based on a complaint from 2023. Online votes cannot be deleted. Rahul Gandhi said that Aland is a constituency in Karnataka. Someone tried to delete 6,018 votes. “We do not know how many votes were deleted in 2023,” he said. Following these allegations, the Election Commission has now responded. The Election Commission responded immediately to Rahul Gandhi’s allegations, calling them baseless and false. Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar stated that votes can never be deleted online. The Election Commission itself filed an FIR regarding the attempted vote-stealing in Aaland. Meanwhile, the BJP also attacked the Congress, calling Rahul’s allegations false. Senior BJP spokesperson and former Union Minister Anurag Thakur attacked the Congress, saying the Commission has made it clear that votes cannot be deleted online. Attempts were made in 2023, and the Commission had already ordered an investigation. Thakur said that Rahul Gandhi has brought the blame on himself.
