Shah Rukh Khan Awarded His First National Award

New Delhi. The 71st National Film Awards ceremony was held today at Vigyan Bhawan in Delhi. Stars from Bollywood, South Asia, and various film industries attended the ceremony. President Draupadi Murmu honored actors, directors, producers, and other celebrities with awards for the year 2023. For the first time, Bollywood’s King, Shah Rukh Khan, was presented with his first National Award.

On this occasion, President Draupadi Murmu said that cinema is not just an industry; it is also a powerful medium to awaken society and the nation and make citizens more sensitive. Popularity for a film can be a good thing, but it is more important to promote public interest, especially the interests of the younger generation, through films. She said that just as the high number of female winners at educational award ceremonies reflects a developed India, a similar effort should be made at film awards. I believe that if given equal opportunities, women are capable of extraordinary performance.
For the first time, Shah Rukh Khan arrived wearing black formal attire to receive the National Award. He was awarded this award for his film Jawan. Actress Rani Mukerji was also presented with the National Award for Best Actress for the film “Mrs. Chatterjee vs. Norway.” Rani arrived at Vigyan Bhawan wearing a brown saree.
Actor Vikrant Massey was also presented with the National Film Award for Best Actor for the film “12G Fail.” Vikrant arrived in a cream-colored formal look. Furthermore, the film “Kathal” received the Best Hindi Film award. Ekta Kapoor arrived to receive the award and expressed her happiness, calling it a testament to the entire team’s hard work. Sudipto Sen also received the Best Director award for “The Kerala Story.” The song “Dhindora” from “Rocky and Rani’s Love Story” won Best Choreography.
