Will Be the Beginning of the End of the NDA Government’s Corrupt Rule – Kharge
Patna. At the working committee meeting held here, Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge said that the internal strife within the NDA in Bihar has now come to the fore. The BJP considers Nitish Kumar a burden. The people of Bihar do not want the BJP’s politics of polarization, but rather development-oriented politics. This Bihar election will mark the beginning of the end of the Modi government’s corrupt rule. He said that the Bihar elections will prove to be a milestone for the country.
Kharge said that we are meeting at a time when the country is going through a very challenging and worrying period at both the international and national levels. The international problems are the result of the Modi government’s failure and diplomatic failure. The very friend whom the Prime Minister trumpets as his friend is creating a crisis in India.
Kharge said that today our voter list is being officially tampered with. We once again reiterate our pledge to protect the country’s democracy and Constitution. Today, questions are being raised about the impartiality and transparency of the Election Commission. Similar to the Bihar incident, a conspiracy is being hatched to cut the votes of millions of people across the country.
Khadge said that Modi is now remembering Mahatma Gandhi’s century-old mantra of Swadeshi, which the Congress used to defeat the British. Today, the country is grappling with problems like economic recession, unemployment, social polarization, and autonomous constitutional institutions are being targeted and weakened.
He said that youth are wandering for employment, and the promise of two lakh jobs has not been fulfilled. GST and demonetization have derailed the economy. The Prime Minister has failed to double farmers’ income as promised. The condition of farmers in Bihar is the worst in the country. Every year, millions of people are forced to bear the brunt of floods caused by the Kosi and Gandak rivers.
He said that the discord within the NDA alliance is now becoming apparent. The BJP has mentally retired Nitish Kumar. Congress pressured the central government to conduct a caste census. A caste survey was also conducted in Bihar during the Congress-led coalition government. He questioned the Prime Minister, “I want to ask him why he failed to secure constitutional protection for the 65 percent reservation passed by the government for the people of Bihar.” He reminded that Congress granted constitutional protection to the 69 percent reservation for the people of Tamil Nadu thirty years ago.
