New Delhi. The Uttarakhand paper leak movement has reached the national capital. In support of the movement of unemployed youth from Uttarakhand, the Congress student wing, NSUI, burned an effigy at Jawaharlal Nehru University, while there were reports of sloganeering at a Delhi University college. Youth in Delhi also expressed anger against the Uttarakhand government.

The movement has become focused on the young generation. Uttarakhand youth have been on the streets for more than five days over the paper leak.

The crowd at Dehradun’s Parade Ground, led by the Unemployed Association, is growing daily. Women and children have begun besieging BJP leaders and police administration across the state. The state Congress is engaged in protests. The arrest of innocent youth is also fueling anger. The Uttarakhand High Court has even severely reprimanded the government in the paper leak case. The court has sarcastically taunted UKSSSC. It can be said that the court has questioned the entire system. Even after this, the government is not ready to accept that a big mistake has been made.
The movement that started in Uttarakhand has started spreading to Delhi and other states. Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, has put the BJP in the dock by supporting the slogan ‘Paper Chor Gaddi Chhod’. Rahul has strengthened the movement by linking “paper thieves” with “vote thieves.” Varun Chaudhary, national president of the Congress student wing (NSUI), said that the NSUI had burned an effigy at Delhi’s JNU on Friday to protest the government and police’s repressive policies. He said that the NSUI would support the protesting youth by holding demonstrations across Uttarakhand for a day or two. Paper leaks have become a major problem in BJP-ruled states. Therefore, our leader Rahul Gandhi has called for campaigns like “Paper Chor Gaddi Chhod” (Leave the Paper Chor Gaddi Chhod) and “Vote Chor Gaddi Chhod” (Leave the Vote). The BJP is stealing both votes and papers. Jawaharlal Nehru University (NSUI) President Sudhanshu said that his JNU unit held demonstrations and burned effigies in support of the Uttarakhand protesters and against the government. He said that the BJP will openly oppose the BJP government’s policy of suppressing students. Students raised slogans against the Pushkar Singh Dhami government. NSUI convener Arun Pratap said that paper leaks have become the norm in BJP-ruled states.

Congress will continue to oppose this. NSUI activist Vikas Vishnoi said that CM Dhami has declared it as ‘copy jihad’. In a way, an attempt has been made to give a communal colour to the matter but the students have understood his politics. Manish Arya told about the role of UKSSSC paper leak accused Hakim Singh. Activist Rahul Poonia mentioned the corruption in the paper leak under the BJP rule. Guvvadi Nikhil, Chail Singh, Ranbir Kumar also spoke on this issue. CRJD also joined this call for effigy burning.
