New Delhi. Rahul Gandhi, Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha, visited Uttar Pradesh and Assam on Friday to express his condolences to the families of Hariom Balmiki and Zubin Da. Balmiki was recently murdered, while Zubin died under suspicious circumstances. Regarding the brutal murder of Hariom Balmiki in Fatehpur village, Uttar Pradesh, Rahul Gandhi said that this incident has shaken the conscience of the entire nation. He said that justice cannot be put under house arrest. He said, “I stand with Hariom’s family and every oppressed citizen of the country.” With pain in the eyes of his family, there was a question: Is being a Dalit still a deadly crime in this country? The administration in Uttar Pradesh is busy intimidating the victim’s family.

Rahul said justice cannot be put under house arrest. The BJP government should end the pressure on the victim’s family and ensure that the culprits get the harshest punishment.
