New Delhi. The team from Delhi University’s Shyam Lal College won the 43rd Shriyukt Baba Bhagat Memorial All India Hockey Tournament. Playing in the final match, the Shyam Lal College team performed brilliantly and defeated the SAI Kurukshetra team by a 2-1 margin to win the tournament. The Shriyukt Baba Bhagat Memorial Hockey Tournament was held in Kotputli district, Shahjahanpur, Rajasthan. Thirty-two teams from across India participated and made their mark. Satish and Pratyush Singh Jaggi each scored a goal for Shyam Lal College, securing the title. Sahajpreet scored the only goal for the runner-up SAI Kurukshetra team. The winning team was also awarded a prize money of ₹51,000. The runner-up team was also given a prize money of Rs 25,000. The Best Defender of the Tournament award was given to Rahul of Shyam Lal College. While the Best Forward of the Tournament award was given to Bittu, a player from SAI Kurukshetra.
