Daughter Rescues Father from Leopard’s Jaws, Displays Remarkable Courage; Father’s Life Saved Thanks to Her Bravery

They are becoming prey to leopards and bears. In Chaukhutia, Almora, on Thursday midnight, a leopard, lying in wait, attacked Chandan Ram, who had stepped out of his house to relieve himself. But then his daughter rushed to his aid and bravely confronted the leopard. Faced with the daughter’s courage, the leopard released its grip on the father and fled into the forest. Chandan Ram sustained deep wounds to his neck, head, and face from the leopard attack. He is currently undergoing treatment at the base hospital in Almora. Everyone is praising Chandan Ram’s courageous daughter, whose bravery saved his life.
According to reports, 61-year-old Chandan Ram, who lives in a rented house in Ratanpur, Chaukhutia, had just stepped out of his room to relieve himself around midnight on Thursday when a leopard, lying in ambush, attacked him and dragged him down the stairs in its jaws. At that moment, Chandan Ram’s 24-year-old daughter, Geeta, rushed out of the house and confronted the leopard. Geeta’s shouting and attack forced the leopard to release her father and flee into the forest, thus saving Chandan Ram’s life. However, he sustained deep wounds to his neck, head, and face. Chandan Ram is currently receiving treatment at the base hospital in Almora. If Chandan Ram’s daughter had not shown such courage, he might have lost his life.
