New Delhi. BJP National President Nitin Naveen described the Union Budget as excellent, saying that the Union Budget 2026-27 is a visionary budget that will give a new direction to the pace of the country’s economic development, committed to the goal of a welfare state and a “developed India”. This is an all-inclusive and all-encompassing budget that will establish India as one of the world’s largest economic powers. This is a budget for the youth power of the country. For this historic Atmanirbhar Bharat budget, I congratulate and heartily welcome the Honorable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji, Finance Minister Smt. Nirmala Sitharaman ji and their entire team.

The government’s commitment under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji to make healthcare services accessible to every citizen is evident from the fact that the budget for the health sector has increased by 176 percent in the last 12 years.
The budget of more than ₹1.05 lakh crore allocated to the health sector this year is approximately 9 percent more than last year’s budget.
This budget also focuses on mental health, which is a welcome step. The announcement of the upgradation of the central psychiatric institutions in Ranchi and Tezpur and the establishment of NIMHANS in North India is commendable. The establishment of the WHO Traditional Medicine Center in Jamnagar is a matter of pride for all Indians. I heartily welcome the Union Budget, which, along with the increase in the health budget, focuses on research and development to strengthen the country’s health sector, and I heartily congratulate the Honorable Prime Minister. The proposal to further strengthen CDSCO to ensure that medicines manufactured in India meet world-class quality standards is commendable.
Under the Biopharma Shakti Initiative, the government has proposed an investment of ₹10,000 crore in the biopharma sector over the next 5 years, which will promote the domestic production of modern biological drugs and biosimilars. The announcement of three new NIPERs (National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research) and the upgrading of the existing seven will usher in a new era in the pharmaceutical sector in the country.
Additionally, three special chemical parks will be developed in various states to strengthen the chemical industry.
The proposal to further strengthen Allied Healthcare Institutes to tackle the growing burden of non-communicable diseases due to changing lifestyles will train 100,000 professionals in this sector over the next five years. This will create employment opportunities for the youth and improve the quality of healthcare services.
The proposal to establish trauma and emergency centers in every district hospital across the country will ensure readily available medical facilities for the general public.
– The budget for the ICMR (Indian Council of Medical Research) and the Department of Health Research has been significantly increased for medical research and innovation, which will enable the development of new drugs, vaccines, and cutting-edge treatment technologies.

The main objective of this budget is to sustain economic growth and take it to new heights, provide equal opportunities for all to progress with the policy of “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas” (Together with all, Development for all), and fulfill the hopes and aspirations of every citizen of the country and make them partners in the nation’s development.

This budget is undoubtedly a blueprint for the development of all sections of society, from villages, the poor, farmers, youth, and women, to industrial progress. The Indian economy is progressing at the fastest pace in the world and is moving towards a bright future. I once again extend my heartfelt gratitude to the Honorable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, the Honorable Finance Minister Smt. Nirmala Sitharaman, and their entire team for this revolutionary budget.
