Shyam Lal College team reaches semi-finals with fourth consecutive win

New Delhi. The host Shyam Lal College (Morning) team continued its winning streak, securing its fourth consecutive victory in the men’s category of the 12th Padma Shri Shyam Lal Memorial Hockey Tournament and advancing to the semi-finals from Pool A. In the women’s category, the Vivekananda College team defeated the Bharti College team by a margin of 6-2 goals. The Shyam Lal College (Morning) team defeated the Shyam Lal College (Evening) team by a margin of 5-1, finishing the league with four wins out of four matches. Showcasing his excellent skills, the emerging forward Pratyush Singh Jaggi impressed the spectators by scoring three spectacular goals in this match. Shlok and Harsh contributed one goal each to their team’s victory. The only goal for the losing team was scored by Laxman. Pankaj from the winning team was awarded the Player of the Match award. In other matches, the Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Khalsa College team defeated the Amity University team by a margin of 8-2. Manish from their team was awarded the Player of the Match award. For the winning Khalsa College team, Vipin scored three goals, Manish and Rishul scored two each, and Manish Kumar scored one. For the losing team, Mohit Rana and Agrim Raina scored one goal each. The Indira Gandhi Institute of Physical Education and Sports Science team defeated the SLC Alumni team by a margin of 6-2. Shekhar from the winning team received the Player of the Match award. For the Indira Gandhi Institute, Pulkit, Shekhar, Gurmukh, Dhruv, Arsh, and Chandrabhushan scored one goal each. For the SLC Alumni team, D.S. Jaggi and Pankaj managed to score one goal each.
