New Delhi. After a gap of 23 years, the four-day National Convention 2026 of the Sports Journalists Federation of India (SJFI) will be held in the national capital, New Delhi, from March 13th to 16th. This edition has become a special and significant event in the organization’s history. This prestigious event, the National Convention, will be held to mark the SJFI’s Golden Jubilee. It is being organized by the Delhi Sports Journalists Association (DSJA). Sports journalists from the North, East, West, and South zones will participate in the National Convention, along with prominent figures from the Indian sports world, sports administration, and broadcasting. With the support of key industry partners and prestigious brands, the 2026 edition is set to be the largest and most influential event in SJFI’s history. The event will include professional dialogues, sports competitions, and extensive networking opportunities. Key attractions include the Grand Sports Conclave, featuring top sports administrators and Olympic legends, the JK Bose Inter-Zonal T20 Cricket Tournament, the AC Bali Table Tennis Tournament, the Modern Pythian Games for families and youth participation, and a grand final and closing ceremony attended by distinguished guests. The Sports Journalists Federation of India (SJFI) is recognized and affiliated with the International Sports Press Association (AIPS), the world body of sports journalists.
DSJA President Abhishek Tripathi said, “The Delhi Sports Journalists Association is fully prepared for this event. When the SJFI entrusted us with hosting the National Convention, we resolved to make it a historic event. Our preparations are almost complete, and prominent sports personalities from across the country will participate in this four-day event. I express my gratitude to the Sports Ministry and sports-related companies for their support in organizing this event. I especially thank Mr. Virendra Sachdeva, Secretary of the Archery Association of India and Delhi BJP President, for his invaluable support.” SJFI President Saroju Chakraborty said, “The Golden Jubilee National Convention held in New Delhi is a historic milestone in our journey.
