PM lays foundation stone for projects worth over ₹60,000 crore

New Delhi. Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated various development projects in Odisha on Saturday. In Jharsuguda, Odisha, the PM laid the foundation stone and inaugurated several projects worth over ₹60,000 crore related to telecommunications, railways, healthcare, higher education, skill development, and rural housing. Highlights of these projects include the installation of approximately 97,500 4G towers using indigenous technology and major upgrades to railway infrastructure to boost connectivity and economic development in Odisha and neighboring states.
Modi flagged off the Amrit Bharat Express between Brahmapur and Udhna (Surat), which will provide affordable and comfortable connectivity between the states, promote tourism, create employment opportunities, and connect key economic districts. During the inauguration, Narendra Modi said that nature has bestowed immense gifts on Odisha. Odisha has seen many decades of hardship, but this decade will lead Odisha to prosperity. This decade is very important for Odisha. The central government recently approved two semiconductor units for Odisha. A semiconductor park will also be built in Odisha.

He said that a year and a half ago, during the assembly elections, the people of Odisha pledged to move forward with a new resolve: a developed Odisha. Today, we see Odisha progressing at the speed of a double engine. Today, once again, work has begun on projects worth thousands of crores of rupees for the development of Odisha and the country. A new avatar of BSNL has also emerged today, with the launch of BSNL’s indigenous 4G services. The Prime Minister said that our focus is on providing basic amenities to the poor, Dalits, backward classes, and tribals.
