Inaugurates Sansad Khel Mahotsav 2025-East Delhi

New Delhi. Harsh Malhotra, Minister of State for Corporate Affairs and Road Transport and Highways, today launched the Sansad Khel Mahotsav 2025-East Delhi, a major initiative to promote local sporting talent and physical fitness, at the East Vinod Nagar Sports Complex. BJP Mayur Vihar District President Vijender Dhama, Patparganj MLA Ravinder Singh Negi, and other officials were also present on the occasion. The Sansad Khel Mahotsav will feature 11 different competitions, including athletics, kabaddi, kho-kho, volleyball, wrestling, and football, ensuring participation from boys and girls across age groups. Harsh Malhotra echoed Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of a “developed India,” emphasizing the importance of building a strong sports culture at the grassroots level. Highlighting the importance of physical fitness for all age groups, he commended the unprecedented participation of young people, a testament to their boundless energy and enthusiasm. Mr. Malhotra further stated that the Sansad Khel Mahotsav aims not only to promote sports and fitness, but also to identify and nurture genuine talent, guiding the youth towards building a strong nation. Citing the five principles of sports – speed, endurance, skill, strength, and enthusiasm – Minister Malhotra emphasized that enthusiasm is the greatest. He also mentioned the landmark Khelo India Policy 2025, which aims to transform the country’s sports landscape and empower citizens through sports. He further emphasized that sports should be given equal importance as education and culture. He stated that outstanding athletes will be provided support and avenues for district, state, and national-level competitions. He appealed to schools, colleges, sports clubs, and local athletes to ensure maximum participation and make the festival a success.
