PGDAV College Wins Delhi University Inter-College Football Championship for the Second Consecutive Time

New Delhi. The PGDAV College team, with a stellar performance, won the Delhi University Inter-College Football Championship 2025-26 for the second consecutive time. In the final match, the PGDAV College team defeated Sri Venkateswara College by a 1-0 margin to retain the championship. The only goal scored by the PGDAV College team was the winning goal, scored by team captain Vikas Verma. The other team failed to score any goals. Meanwhile, Anmol, Rudransh, Nishant Shah, and Karki are some of the players who contributed significantly to PGDAV College retaining the Inter-College Football Championship. College Principal Prof. Darvinder Kumar congratulated the students and the Physical Education Department on the team’s victory in the title match and extended his best wishes. In this Delhi University Inter-College Football Championship, the IGIPESS team secured third place and the St. Stephen’s College team secured fourth place. In the league matches played before entering the final, PGDAV College defeated Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar College 3-1, with Rudransh scoring a hat-trick. They defeated Hansraj College in a one-sided match, winning 3-0. Anmol, Nishant, and Vikas contributed one goal each. In their semi-final match, PGDAV College secured a place in the title match by winning 5-0 against St. Stephen’s College. Anmol, Nidish, and Vikas scored the goals in this semi-final victory. It was clearly evident that the Physical Education Department of PGDAV College is working hard to raise the sports level of the college and Delhi University. (Sports Editor)
