New Delhi. The Bihar elections were finally announced on Monday. The elections in Bihar will be held in two phases. The first phase of voting will be held on November 6th and the second phase on November 11th. Voting will take place on November 14th. Voting will be held for 121 seats in the first phase and 122 seats in the second phase. A total of 243 assembly seats will be contested in Bihar, of which 38 seats will be reserved for SCs and 2 seats for STs. Only 1,200 people will be allowed to vote at each polling booth. Strict monitoring of webcasting and fake news will be maintained at every polling station.
Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar, while announcing the election dates, stated that 90,712 polling stations have been set up in Bihar this time. This time, a total of 74.2 million voters will exercise their right to vote in Bihar. There are 14,000 voters over the age of 100 in Bihar. 1.4 million people in the state will vote for the first time.
In the last assembly elections, the NDA alliance, led by the BJP and JDU, won a majority. RJD emerged as the largest party, and the BJP as the second-largest.
