Kolkata. Angry fans went on a rampage and vandalized the Salt Lake Stadium in Kolkata after Lionel Messi left the event early. The stadium was thrown into chaos as spectators, who had paid exorbitant prices for tickets, became enraged. Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee expressed deep sorrow over the incident, apologized, and announced the formation of an inquiry committee to investigate the mismanagement. As soon as footballer Lionel Messi left the stadium, the fans’ anger erupted, and they began vandalizing the premises.
Legendary footballer Lionel Messi is currently on a tour of India, where fans are welcoming him with open arms. On Saturday, Messi arrived at the Salt Lake Stadium to unveil his 70-foot statue and also greeted the fans there. However, as soon as Messi left the stadium, the fans’ anger erupted, and they became furious. To express their displeasure, the fans vandalized the stadium and started throwing chairs and bottles onto the field. Messi arrived at the stadium, unveiled the statue, and left within 10-15 minutes.
