Bastar Will Be Freed from Naxalism and Developed as the Country’s Most Advanced Tribal division: Amit Shah

Bastar।Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Sunday attended the divisional-level Bastar Olympics closing ceremony in Jagdalpur, Chhattisgarh. Addressing the gathering, he clearly reiterated the government’s strong commitment towards the development of Bastar and the complete elimination of Naxalism.
Amit Shah said that Naxalism had obstructed development in Bastar for several years. Naxalites opposed roads, electricity, drinking water and other basic infrastructure projects, which kept the region backward. However, he emphasized that the situation is now changing and the government is moving forward with full determination on the path of development.
The Home Minister stated that the entire country will be free from Naxalism by March 31, 2026. He assured that within the next five years, Bastar will be developed into the most advanced tribal division in the country.
He further said that electricity will reach every household in Bastar, clean drinking water will be provided to every home, and people will have access to a better quality of life. He also stressed that along with development, Bastar’s rich and beautiful tribal culture will be preserved, ensuring that progress strengthens the region’s unique identity.
