Delhi State Kho-Kho Championship Concludes Successfully

New Delhi. The Delhi State Kho-Kho Championship 2025 was held successfully at Navhind Girls Senior Secondary School, New Rohtak. A total of 66 teams from districts across Delhi participated in this state-level Kho-Kho Championship, showcasing their skills. The championship was held for sub-junior, junior (boys and girls), and senior (men and women) categories. Based on the players’ performances in this championship, talented players were selected for the upcoming national competitions and the Kho-Kho National Training Camp, providing Delhi players with a golden opportunity to showcase their talent at the national level.
Present on this occasion were Kho-Kho Patron Sudhanshu Mittal and Dr. M.S. Tyagi, known as the Bhishma Pitamah of Kho-Kho. The event was graced by the presence of Navhind Girls Senior Secondary School Chairman Kirti Sharma, Principal Seema Kharbanda, Kho-Kho Federation of India (KKFI) Joint Secretary Dr. Munni June, and KKFI Sexual Harassment Prevention Committee member Dr. Pramod. On this occasion, KKFI President Sudhanshu Mittal informed that the Commonwealth Kho-Kho Championship will be held in India from March 9th to 14th, 2026. This is a matter of pride for the country and will give Kho-Kho a new international recognition.
The skillful leadership of Kho-Kho Association of Delhi General Secretary S.S. Malik, Treasurer Jitendra Tyagi, Organizing Secretary Ashwini Sharma, Competition Director Vinod Goyal, Convener Hari Shankar, and Co-Convener Dr. Pramod was extremely effective in organizing this championship. In this championship, in the sub-junior boys category, North West District won first place, South East District second place, North District third place, and Central District fourth place. In the junior boys category, North West District won first place, South East District second place, North District third place, and West Delhi fourth place. In the senior men’s category, North West District won first place, South West District second place, North District third place, and South East District fourth place.
In the sub-junior girls category, North West District won first place, North District second place, Central Delhi third place, and West Delhi fourth place. In the senior women’s category, North West District won first place, North District second place, South East District third place, and North East District fourth place. The Best Player awards in this championship were presented to Geeta, Geeta, Anshik, and Manu, sub-junior boys, Rohit, Abhishek, and Madan, senior boys.
