Football Tournament to be Organized in Memory of Sharad Chandra Dhulia

Lansdowne. A football tournament will be organized at the Garhwal Rifles headquarters in Lansdowne in memory of the late Sharad Chandra Dhulia, who was the editor of Karmabhoomi, Uttarakhand’s oldest weekly newspaper. This information was given by the Karmabhoomi Foundation in a press release. Established in 2023, the Karmabhoomi Foundation has been continuously playing an active role in the field of social welfare in Uttarakhand.
Continuing this initiative, the Foundation presented a football trophy to the Garhwal Rifles Regimental Center, Lansdowne.
The Foundation has proposed that an annual football tournament be organized in collaboration with the Regimental Center, using this trophy, in memory of the late Sharad Chandra Dhulia, former editor of ‘Karmabhoomi Weekly’. The objective is to promote the game of football in the hilly regions.
The trophy was presented to Brigadier Vinod Singh Negi, VSM, Commandant, Garhwal Rifles Regimental Center, by Colonel Vikas Dimri (son-in-law of the late Sharad Chandra Dhulia) and Mrs. Jyotsna Dhulia Dimri on behalf of the Foundation.
Dr. Naithani, President of the Lansdowne Old Boys Association, and Kuldeep Khandelwal were also present.
