ABVP workers should become “Digital Warriors” and stand for truth, facts, and national interest

Bikaner. Union Minister of Culture and Tourism, Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, said that today, wars are being fought not on borders, but in the mind. He urged Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) workers to become “Digital Warriors” and stand for truth, facts, and national interest. He said that even a single false message can mislead the entire society, therefore, ideological awareness is more necessary than ever before.

Speaking at the inaugural session of the 61st provincial convention of the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad on Friday, Union Minister Shekhawat said that for him, this program was more than just a formal inauguration; it was like reconnecting with his roots. His public and political life began as an ordinary worker of the Vidyarthi Parishad, and the seeds of all the responsibilities he holds today were sown in this organization. ABVP is not just a platform for movements, but a laboratory for nation-building.
Shekhawat said that the circumstances of the country have completely changed in the last 30-35 years. Issues over which Vidyarthi Parishad workers once agitated, such as Article 370, the Ram Temple, or border security, have now been fulfilled as national resolutions. India’s borders are more secure than ever before. He said that the context has changed, but the challenges have not ended. Today, the country is threatened by false narratives, cultural pollution, and the distortion of history. Attempts are being made to spread misinformation through digital media and to weaken national pride.
*Today’s youth generation is fortunate*
The Union Minister said that today’s youth generation is the most fortunate because they will have the opportunity to participate in the process of making India a developed nation and to live in a developed India. He said that the generation of the freedom struggle liberated the country, future generations will be born in a developed India, but the current generation is the one that will be able to say, “We made India developed.” He urged the youth, regardless of their chosen field – education, technology, administration, medicine, or entrepreneurship – to connect their goals with nation-building. He emphasized that teachers should not limit themselves to teaching alone, but should understand their responsibility in shaping the generation that will build a developed India. The Union Minister said that this convention is not merely a platform for discussion, but a place for making resolutions. He stressed that the ideas generated here should not remain confined to the auditorium, but should reach every campus, every village, and every city. He said that the members of the student council must become carriers of nationalist consciousness and provide ideological leadership to society.
*The Role of Youth Power is Most Decisive*
Shekhawat said that India is currently going through not only a period of economic or political transformation, but also a historical phase of cultural, ideological, and mental renaissance. At such a time, the role of the country’s youth power is most decisive. He said that today’s challenges are not being faced with swords, but through ideas. These challenges can only be countered by aware, nationalist, and ideologically strong youth. He said that joining a nationalist organization like ABVP is a matter of great pride, but it also carries a great responsibility. He urged the members to understand the ideological legacy of the organization, live by it, and carry it forward. He expressed confidence that this transitional period for India will be successfully completed, and the role of youth power will prove decisive.
